On Sunday, June 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the place to be on Vancouver Island will be in downtown Nanaimo for a Street Party in honor of Commercial Street’s recent recognition as the “Greatest Street in Canada.” Sponsored by our friends at the Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association (DNBIA), the Street Party will feature a variety of live entertainment including favorite local rock ‘n’ rollers the Naked Grapes and blues artists the Doug Thring Band and fearless performers from VestaFire Entertainment.

This all-ages celebration continues with a magic act, bouncy castle, live paintings and free admission to the Nanaimo Museum. When hunger gets the best of you after all that excitement, you’ll enjoy delicious grilled treats from a unique outdoor BBQ kitchen.
